our story

“My husband, Bill, and I started this crazy dream over two years ago,” says Katie Carter, one of the owners of Carter's Baking Co. “We wanted to open a family business that we could run and have our children work with us.”

Bill and Katie's oldest daughter, Michaela, is the pastry chef behind all of their sweet treats. They are also joined by their two other children, Aaron the firefighter, and Rachel who works alongside Bill and Katie in the shop. This family team opened Carter's baking Company in March 2020, and even though they found themselves in the midst of a global pandemic, they have already formed a line of fans.
